COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This is a 1 day class (6-hours in duration) that includes lecture, lab and testing for up to 12 students.

The instructor will illustrate the latest features of Toad necessary to view, extract and manipulate data within the Oracle database. This workshop covers all of the features necessary to develop, manipulate and debug PL/SQL code, develop and tune SQL statements, using Query Builder and ER (Entity Relationship) tools and discover useful features of Toad. Dan will also show how to see the data relationships of the application data and how to view and save this data.

Lectures are supported by hands on student lab exercises.

This is a 2 day class (6-hours in duration) that includes lecture, lab and testing for up to 12 students.

This course introduces students to the querying and analytical capabilities of using Toad Data Point and Toad Intelligence central.

Students will learn to load, modify and save data; create spreadsheets and other delivers; and refine and run ad hoc queries. They will learn to produce individual ad hoc reports and make these reports and information easy to access via dash boards.

Lectures are supported by hands on student lab exercises.

The course begins with a complete overview of the Oracle architecture so students can get an understanding of how Oracle works. Attendees will learn how to access data from Oracle using the SQL language.

The attendees have the opportunity to construct various SQL statements to solve simple and complex business questions. The course utilizes a variety of current tools. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about Toad Data Point.

This course is tailored for the topics needed to create Workflows as found in other BI tools such as Hyperion.

This course covers the Workbook feature of Toad Data Point. Topics of interest can be selected from the list in the Toad Data Point outline. This course will cover building queries using both the Query Builder and Editor windows, cleansing the data, and saving the data to various Excel formats. This course also covers some 'hidden gem' features such as dimensional views and other useful topics in/around the Toad Data Point tool.

Lectures and topics are enhanced with live illustrations and hands-on exercises.
