STAT TRAINING

Stat Training

Description

This is a 2-day class (6-hours per day) that includes lecture, lab and testing for up to 12 students.

Attendees will learn how to configure Stat to:

  • Perform Mass Migrations (3 hours)
  • Support Database Refreshes (3 hours)
  • Manage Parallel Development (6 hours)

The attendees will configure Releases so that migrations can be grouped together and migrated as a bundle, recover code that was overwritten during the refresh process and develop a process to Merge Code when developing in Parallel Streams (i.e. Production Support, Short-Term and Long-Term projects).

Lectures and topics are enhanced with live illustrations and hands-on exercises.

Objectives

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Understand the benefits of using Mass Migrations
  2. Bundle migrations together into a Release
  3. Know how Stat can be leveraged to easily recover code that is overwritten during a database refresh
  4. Record Stat database refresh events
  5. Systematically capture code from all streams and merge as appropriate so that no code is lost when being developed in parallel streams.

Pre-requisites

The student should have a firm grasp of basic Stat Administration functions including configuration, trouble-shooting and migrations.
